North to Alaska

My friends, it has been my intention to prepare several posts to deploy at the end of this week, next week, and the beginning of the next (through Monday, June 26) while I take a little boat ride with Dana up to Alaska (the inside passage). But, alas, my full press to complete an edited book manuscript kept my mind and fingers engaged throughout this past week. In fact, I fell just three or four pages short of my goal (a short addition to write). The project? A popular level book on the theology or message of Proverbs, tentatively titled, Exchanging the Good Life for a Life that is Good: The Challenge of Proverbs in a World Lacking Wisdom (Eerdmans 2018; and yes, I'm open to other title suggestions... ultimately decided by Eerdmans)

I promise that I will have much more to say about this project in the months ahead, including a few excerpts. And I will be back to the blog soon, but for now just imagine me on the deck of a majestic ship waving good bye... no, let me change that image. I want you to rejoin me when I get back, so just imagine me looking out the porthole of an old leaky boat, weeping because I must leave you for now. (Yes, that's a much better image.) So with this in mind, I now sign off until June 27th). Aloha, Adios, and I'll be back.
