The Knu Black

The Knu Black

I'm in foreign territory today, but so proud of the work a former student is doing to spread positive Christian messages to younger generations through the medium of rap. Just recently, the album "Ohana" by Knu Origen (Darren Hagood, ACU 2014) with his musical partner Kay Sade received serious recognition through major blogs that feature Christian Rap. (Let's face it, Christian Rap doesn't exactly have a home among other rap genres--at least not yet.) Rapzilla.com, the #1 Christian Rap Blog in the world, recognized "Ohana" with nominations for Best Album Artwork, Best Album of the Year, and Best New Artist. See Christian Hip Hop's Best of 2017. "Ohana" was also recognized by Gospelurbain.com with a nomination for Best Album of the Year.

Music from the Knu Black is available through YouTunes, iTunes, Spotify, and other online vendors. I'm going to enlarge my music library just a little to help support the Knu Black; I encourage you to spread the word.
