Walking the High Wire without a Net (This Sunday!)

Walking the High Wire without a Net (This Sunday!)

"Come one, come all, to the most entertaining show on earth!" Well, that's overstating the case by a few miles (a movie theatre is just a few miles away). Nonetheless, I will be preaching this coming Sunday at the Highland Church of Christ in Abilene (TX). If you care to watch live (two services) or to watch a rerun you may access instructions with the correct link through Highland's website (click here).

I can't remember the last time I preached. I believe it was two years ago, perhaps longer (what a change from preaching an average of two Sundays out of every month). I do know that I am going to preach from the same text that I have used a couple of times over the past 4-5 years: 2 Corinthians 12 and Paul's "thorn in the flesh." But despite taking the same text, it will be a different sermon - both because 1) I've changed and 2) I lost the bulk of my notes from before and have been given the opportunity to rethink the heart of the message (nothing like an excellent filing system).

We leave for home tomorrow via a circuitous route through Oklahoma City to see a new grand-daughter, with God's grace arriving home on Friday afternoon. Regular posts "should" pick back up the next week.

Until then, Glenn
