A Productive Silence
Please excuse the silence over the past week. The time normally spent on "blogging" has been directed toward preparation of classes to be taught at ACU Summit next week. On Monday I will participate in the lecture series hosted by CSART (Center for the Study of Ancient Religious Texts; Biblical Studies Building 129). My class/lecture will be at 1:30, "Goliath was only six feet tall? Who has been messing with my Bible?; How the Oldest Hebrew Manuscripts Are Shaping the Newest English Versions."
Then on Tuesday and Wednesday I will turn my attention to the idea of "Deuteronomy and a Yahweh Nation" (both in Biblical Studies Building 121). Specifically, on Tuesday (8:30) we will examine the centers of authority: "The Inner Circle: Leadership and Public Policy." Then on Wednesday (9:00) we will reverse the direction of our attention: "The Outer Circle: Life on the Fringes of Society."
Hope to see you around next week.
